Police seized fentanyl, cocaine and methadone from a residence in the 1200-block of Fifth Avenue downtown on Wednesday.

At about 5 p.m., officers with the RCMP Downtown Safety Unit executed a search warrant on the location, which is where a man was shot in an attempted murder on May 3.

Police arrested a 35-year-old woman and a 28-year-old woman at the scene. Both were later released, pending further investigation and the approval of charges.

In addition to the drugs, police seized drug trafficking paraphernalia, cash, two BB guns, a pellet gun, various tools and stolen personal identification from the home.

"The Prince George RCMP remains committed to the safety and security of our community, which includes aggressively targeting those responsible for causing harm through drug trafficking and its associated violence," the police press release said.
