Police are on the lookout for a man suspected of a series of sex-related offences, including kidnapping and sexually assaulting a woman early Sunday morning.
RCMP said the woman was fixing a flat tire at a gas station near Fifth Avenue and Tabor Boulevard at about 2 a.m. when a man exited a parked vehicle nearby and offered to help. The two were unable to fix the tire so he offered to give her a ride.
But while driving her home, the man missed several turns and turned into a parking lot, believed to be on Foothills Boulevard, where he sexually assaulted her. The victim was able to fend off her attacker and fled on foot.
The suspect is described as South Asian with a slight accent, mid to late 20's, with brown eyes, short brown hair, short and well-groomed facial hair. He called himself Jax.
The suspect's vehicle is described as a white or grey, older-model four-door sedan, possibly a BMW.
Police said a similar incident occurred on May 14 just a few blocks away, when a woman was attacked from behind while running along Foothills Boulevard.
The suspect also fits the description of a man connected to three indecent acts earlier in the year, near the corner of Patricia Boulevard and Queensway Street on March 12, and outside a home near Ferry Avenue and Massey Drive and near the Alibi's night club at Third Avenue and Dominion Street, both on January 30.
Anyone who may have seen the suspect is asked to call the Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1(800)222-8477, online at www.pgcrimestoppers.bc.ca (English only), or Text-A-Tip to CRIMES (274637) using keyword "pgtips."
