Prince George Search and Rescue is reminding people to bring proper wilderness gear after it saved a group of five boaters early Sunday morning.
The crew found the boat and five passengers, who were all in good health, just after 1 a.m. The boat had become stuck on a gravel bar and the stranded five had started a fire on the island.
Department of Fisheries and Oceans was also involved in the rescue.
Prince George Search and Rescue also said it's important to let someone know where you have gone, when you're expected to return and who is with you so they can call for help.
