Sealing in a smile

For the last 15 years, student smiles have gleamed a little brighter thanks to a partnership with the College of New Caledonia's dental program. "Seal in a Smile" is back in schools this month.

The College of New Caledonia, in partnership with Northern Health and School District 57, is currently running its annual Seal in a Smile program. The preventive dental/oral health program has been running since 2000 and targets young children in the Prince George area.

For the last 15 years, student smiles have gleamed a little brighter thanks to a partnership with the College of New Caledonia's dental program.

"Seal in a Smile" is back in schools this month. The annual five-week long program is offered to local students in kindergarten through to Grade 6.

They get an assessment, teeth polishing, and fluoride treatment from those enrolled in the dental assisting and hygiene programs.

The program is a partnership between the college, Northern Health and School District 57.
