Limited visibility along Highway 97 South

Be careful if you're heading south this afternoon.

DriveBC is reporting limited visibility with heavy snowfall for 50 kilometres along Highway 97 from Chamulak Road, 22 kilometres south of Pineview to Hush Lake Road, 24 kilometres south of Hixon.

"Watch for slippery sections. Compact snow," the service added in the alert, issued at 12:44 p.m.

Update: As of about 3 p.m., traffic was down to single lane alternating betweem Hush Lake Road and Olson Road, 25 kilometres south of Hixon, due to a vehicle incident.
