Drugs seized in Fort St. James

Fort St. James RCMP arrested five people and made two significant seizures as part of an investigation into a suspected drug house in the community.

On Sun., Nov. 22, they executed a search warrant on the 500-block Fir Street home and seized over 130 grams of suspected powder cocaine, suspected methamphetamine, as well as a small quantity of suspected heroin and paraphernalia associated to packaging and sale of illicit drugs. A nine millimetre semiautomatic rifle was also seized.

RCMP also arrested a suspected street-level trafficker who had made a short visit to the home. They found over 21 grams of suspected powder cocaine and methamphetamine in the suspect's vehicle.

Charges remain pending and names of the suspects were not released.
