A decision on cuts to College of New Caledonia programs has been put off to next month.

The school is facing a $2.8 million deficit but following a volley of feedback, the board of governors won't vote on proposals to suspend two dental programs and close its day care to balance the college's budget during its March 27 meeting.

Instead, a public forum is scheduled for 2-4 p.m. following the board meeting (which begins at 12:30 p.m.) in room 1-306 where groups and individuals will have the chance to present questions and concerns about he proposed changes.

The vote itself has been postponed until the April 24 board of governors meeting.

Anyone wanting to make a submission to the board must apply to Marlene Beaulieu by 5 p.m. on Tuesday at beaulieum@cnc.bc.ca with a detailed overview of their presentation topic.
