The Victoria Royals downed the Prince George Cougars 5-2 on Saturday in the capitol. Ben Walker, Jack Palmer, Brandon Magee and Axel Blomqvist scored four unanswered goals for the Royals in the first period.

Tough start for Cariboo Cats at Mac's

The Cariboo Cougars got off to a rough start on Friday at the Mac's AAA Midget World Invitational hockey tournament, dropping a 6-1 decision to the Notre Dame Argos from Saskatchewan in Calgary.
