In a match that went the full five sets, the Houston Christian Wildcats finally took down the determined D.P. Todd Trojans.

The Wildcats and Trojans collided Saturday night in the final of the D.P. Todd Trojan Classic senior boys volleyball tournament. The match brought together a pair of provincially-ranked teams and when the final spike was delivered, the Wildcats had themselves a 25-23, 21-25, 17-25, 25-16, 15-12 victory.

In the deciding set, the Wildcats used smart serving and never-say-die defence to build a 12-5 lead. But the Trojans -- intent on winning on their home court -- scrapped their way back into a 12-11 deficit. To their credit, the Wildcats managed to stall the Trojans' momentum and won three of the next four points.
