Two nights after shutting out the Regina Pats, the Prince George Cougars were on the other side of a 6-0 romp Thanksgiving Day at the hands of the Moose Jaw Warriors in front of 3,600 fans at Mosaic Place.
The loss leaves the Cougars (3-4-0-1) with two wins and three losses on their Western Hockey League road trip through the East Division. With the win the Warriors improve to 5-2.
Collin Bowman and Torrin White each had a pair of goals for the Warriors, while Andrew Johnson had a goal and a pair of helpers. Rookie Tanner Eberle picked up a pair of assists.
Carter Hansen had the other goal for Moose Jaw.
Luke Siemens didn't have a lot of work in picking up the shutout in only his second game as a Warrior - he was recently acquired from the Everett Silvertips - facing 21 shots. The final 20 minutes were the Delta product's busiest as the Cougars fired nine shots at him.
During the 2009-10 season, Siemens played in one game with Prince George, allowing four goals on 28 shots in a loss.
Drew Owsley made 33 saves in the Cougars' net. The loss was the 20-year-old goaltender's second of the season, the first in regulation.
The Cougars were down to five defencemen for most of the game after Joshua Smith was penalized early in the first period with a major for kneeing, a major for fighting and a game misconduct.
As a result rookie Michael Mylchreest and defensive partner Shane Pilling were a combined minus-9.
Prince George winds down the seven-game road trip Wednesday in Swift Current when they take on the Broncos at 6 p.m., before boarding the bus to Kamloops where they'll conclude the trip with a Friday game against the Blazers.
