Rebranded as the Peachland Warriors, to pay tribute to the District of Peachland about eight minutes south of West Kelowna, the Warriors beat the Prince George Spruce Kings by a score of 4-3 at Royal LePage Place Friday night.
Prince George saw their record go to 17-13-2-1 while the Warriors created some distance between them and PG in the standings, improving their record to 19-10-4-0.
While Prince George outshot the Warriors 30-24, Cayden Hamming was able to hold off the Spruce Kings attack.
