The Penticton Vees will try to carve their names in the British Columbia Hockey League record book tonight when they play in Chilliwack against the Chiefs.

Penticton, the top Canadian Junior Hockey League team, with a 41-3-0-2 record tied the mark of 29 consecutive wins set by the 1989-90 New Westminster Royals last Friday with a 5-1 win over the Chiefs. One of the Vees three regulation losses this season came in Chilliwack's home opener when the Chiefs won 7-1.

The Vees last loss came Nov. 5 when the Merritt Centennials edged them 3-2 in overtime.

The record-breaking game is tonight at Prospera Place at 7 p.m.
