Vallee, Boschman toss to B.C. medals

Members of the Prince George Horseshoe Club tossed to medals and had top-five results at the B.C. Horseshoe Championships in Cloverdale on Labour Day weekend.

Vic Vallee posted a record of 7-3 to finish second and earn the silver medal behind Tom Moffat of Victoria in the Men's A Class.

Vallee racked up 344 points, tossing 190 ringers out of 444 shoes for a 42.79 shooting percentage.

Moffat went 9-1, scoring 400 points on 232 ringers out of 476 shoes.

Ida Boschman won the bronze medal in the Ladies B division with an overall score of 341, 78 points behind gold-medal winner Jenna John, who secured 419 points.

Boschman posted a record of 5-5, successfully making 213 ringers out of the 536 shoes she tossed for an overall shooting percentage of 39.73.

Pat Duncan was fifth in the Ladies B event, going 4-6 and tossing 186 ringers out of 508 shoes for a 36.61 shooting percentage.

Herb Boschman won the silver medal in the Elders 30-Foot D Class.

He went 5-5, scoring 253 points on 86 ringers out of 378 shoes.
