UNBC wraps exhibition season on sour note

It was a disappointing weekend for the University of Northern British Columbia Timberwolves in their final basketball tune up before the PACWEST season tips off. On Friday, the women found the success against the Langara Falcons the men couldn't.

On Friday, the women found the success against the Langara Falcons the men couldn't.

The T-wolves women won 74-61 behind Erin Beckett's 14 points and Jen Bruce's 13. The T-wolves men lost 85-74.

Saturday both UNBC teams lost to the Capilano University Blues with the women losing 83-59 and the men falling 91-68.

After rattling off four wins the men's T-wolves lost their final four exhibition games, while the women were 6-2.

The PACWEST season begins Friday when the T-wolves host the Columbia Bible College Bearcats with the women's game at 6 p.m. and the men's game at 8 p.m. Saturday Douglas College visit the Northern Sport Centre. The women go at 6 p.m. with the men to follow at 8 p.m.
