UNBC coach won't stand pat

Todd Jordan is stepping through the wide-open doors of a bank vault. That doesn't mean he won't try to bring a few gems of his own across the threshold.

Todd Jordan is stepping through the wide-open doors of a bank vault. That doesn't mean he won't try to bring a few gems of his own across the threshold.

Jordan, announced as the new head coach of the UNBC Northern Timberwolves men's basketball team on Monday, takes over a club that won national gold in March. Most of the players who were part of the championship run will be back in uniform this coming season. So, Jordan will have more than enough talent at his beck and call. The idea of recruiting more impact players is, however, on his mind.

"With a very strong team coming back, obviously I can be a little bit selective in that I do have to find someone who's going to be a good fit with that group," Jordan said.
