How high can Alyx Treasure go?
If her performance Saturday at the John McDonnell Invitational track and field meet in Fayetteville, Ark., is any indication, the sky's the limit for the 23-year-old from Prince George.
Treasure cleared 1.86 metres (six-foot 1 1/4) to win the event. Now competing as a professional sponsored by Body First, Treasure tied Kimberly Williamson of Kansas State, each at 1.86m, but Treasure required fewer attempts to reach that height to claim the gold medal.
Treasure, who finished seventh at the 2015 Pan Am Games in Toronto, is still attending Kansas State but has already used her final year of NCAA eligibility.
