Track and field athletes back in action at Sub Zero meet

Track and Field Club hosts first competition in two years on Saturday

The Prince George Track and Field Club hosted their Sub Zero meet on Saturday at Masich Place Stadium. The club's annual meet nearly lived up to its name with cold, windy, and rainy conditions seeing temperatures barely above freezing.

193 participants battled the elements to take part in the club's first real competition in two years. Athletes ages ranged from nine to sixty-two and they competed in one or more sports that featured 100m, 200m, 300m, 400m, 600m, 800m, 1000m, 1200m, 1500m, 80m hurdles, 100m hurdles, long jump, triple jump, high jump, shot put, discus, javelin, and the 4x100m relay.
