Prince George Cougar fans were out in force last night - all the way down the street.
The line-up of Cougar fans had to wait until there were only minutes left in the second period to get seated and watch their cats play.
"There was a line-up until there was eight minutes left in the second period. The problem was unfortunately people didn't come and get their tickets early before the game, so we had a lot of people waiting to close to game time, and there was a huge line," said Brandy Brodsky, vice president of the Prince George Cougars.
"Ticketmaster didn't have a problem, nothing was broken down, there were just too many people who didn't get their tickets ahead of time," she said.
No issues were reported from the game last night, the crowds were patient while they waited.
"We feel terrible about it, but there was nothing we could do," said Brodsky.
"We encourage people to come down and pick up their tickets earlier than 6:30 p.m. on game night, even [pick them up] days before or earlier in the day in the future," she said.
According to Brodsky, nothing in the planning of this years opening game was different than last year.
