Patti Knezevic and her Team B.C. rink suffered an 8-3 loss at the hands of Team Canada at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts Monday afternoon in Moose Jaw.
Knezevic is now 1-4, having won her first game of the national curling championship Monday morning with a 7-4 victory over PEI.
Knezevic's Team B.C. rink out the Prince George Golf and Curling Club includes third Kristen Fewster, second Jen Rusnell and lead Rhonda Camozzi.
Team Canada is represented by Rachel Homan's defending champion rink out of the Ottawa Curling Club.
Team Canada now improves to 4-0.
Homan picked up a single in the first end and stole one in the second end.
Knezevic scored one in the third end, and after blanking the fourth end, Homan hit and stuck for four in the fifth end. She stole single points in the next two ends, before B.C. came back with a deuce in the eighth end. They shook hands after the ninth end.
In B.C.'s 7-4 victory over PEI, the two teams traded singles with hammer in the first five ends, which included a blank by B.C. in the fourth end. PEI scored its first deuce in the sixth end.
Knezevic responded with a deuce of her own in the eighth to take a narrow 5-4 lead and stole two more in the ninth.
Handshakes ensued in the 10th and final end.
Knezevic had Monday night off and resumes play Tuesday at noon against Ontario. She battles Alberta in Tuesday's evening draw at 5 p.m.
