The UNBC Timberwolves basketball teams will try to put a northern chill into the UBC Okanagan Heat tonight at the Northern Sport Centre.
The UNBC and UBCO women's teams will tip off at 6 p.m. and that game will be followed by the men's contest. In the Canada West Universities Athletic Association, both Timberwolves clubs own 2-2 records, while both Heat teams enter the night at 1-3. UBCO is located in Kelowna.
Tonight's women's game will also serve as a fundraiser for breast cancer research. Called Shoot for the Cure, the fundraiser is a nationwide effort by Canadian Interuniversity Sport teams.
To raise money locally tonight, a pink shirt signed by members of both UNBC teams will be raffled off. A donation box will be set up for those fans who wish to take part in the raffle.
