The T-wolves (1-13) earned the first soccer win in the CIS, Canada West conference, for UNBC with a 3-0 victory over the Mount Royal Cougars (4-8-1) on a snowy field in Calgary. It was the 13th game of the T-wolves' short CIS career.
Danny Dell game the T-wolves a 1-0 lead at the 17-minute mark. It was the second goal of Dell's CIS career, which ended with a 3-1 loss Sunday in Winnipeg against the Wesmen.
Cheona Edzerza and Ahmed Hamour notched their inaugural CIS goals for the T-wolves in the second half against the Cougars, coming in the 46th and 54th minutes. Tyrone Venhola picked up the 10-save shutout.
