Taylor Stefishen is looking forward to his first home game as a Prince George Cougar.

But if he's trying to top his older brother Adam's Prince George debut, he's going to have get busy in a hurry tonight against the Prince Albert Raiders.

Cougars fans might remember a then-18-year-old Adam scoring four goals in his very first WHL game, a league record. His offensive output alone was enough to sink the Portland Winter Hawks 6-2.

Taylor, a 20-year-old winger, is not making any promises, but so far he's on track to surpass the season total of 20 points Adam had in 2000-01, his one and only season with the Cougars.

"I'm more of a playmaker but I definitely can still score and I'll bring some offensive ability to the team and a little bit of grit as well," said Taylor.

The younger Stefishen has had an immediate impact on the Cougars' bottom line, playing on the top line with centre James Dobrowolski and right winger Brett Connolly. In his first game a week ago in Cranbrook, Stefishen assisted on Dobrowolski's game-winner and potted his first WHL goal into an empty net. In four games, Stefishen has a goal and five assists for six points.

"I like the league a lot, it's high intensity, high-paced with some very good players and I've really enjoyed it so far," he said. "The NCAA is a little bit quicker and guys are a bit stronger because they're older, but it's pretty similar. This is maybe more like NHL style."
