The Spruce Kings have signed 2007-born defenceman Dracen Campbell for 2025-26 BCHL season.

The Prince George Spruce Kings have tapped into the Ontario hockey talent pipeline.

They’ve signed Wallaceburg, Ont., native Dracen Campbell, a 2007-born defenceman, for the upcoming BC Hockey League season.

“Dracen is a talented young player with a high hockey IQ,” said Kings general manager Mike Hawes. “As a staff we were all very impressed when evaluating Dracen and during our recruiting process with him.  His hockey ceiling is very high, and we’re thrilled to work on his development with him.”

Campbell, listed at five-foot-eight, 158 pounds, played 46 games in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League for the Stratford Warriors and had four goals and 24 assists. He also contributed five assists in 11 playoff games.

“I’m really excited to join the Prince George Spruce Kings for this upcoming season,” said Campbell, who turns 18 on Aug. 9.

“After speaking with the coaching staff and learning about the organization and culture it felt like the right place to develop as a player and a person. I’m looking forward to getting started with the team and getting to work.”
