The Spruce Kings have acquired defenceman Noah Laframboise in a trade from West Kelowna Warriors.

Just in time for their first roadtrip of the season, the Prince George Spruce King announced Thursday they’ve acquired 18-year-old defenceman Noah Lafromboise from the West Kelowna Warriors for future considerations.

Listed at six-foot-three, 179 pounds, Lafromboise collected a goal and seven assists in 47 games last season for the Warriors. The Ottawa native also played in six playoff games for West Kelowna.

The Spruce Kings are in Chilliwack this Friday night to open their B.C. Hockey League exhibition schedule against the Chiefs. They also visit Langley to play the Rivermen on Saturday.

The Spruce Kings will be back on the bus next week for a three-game exhibition series in Trail Sept. 15-17 in which they will face Cranbrook, Trial and Powell River.

The regular season starts Set. 23 in Salmon Arm, with the Kings’ homeopener set for Friday, Sept. 29 when they host Chilliwack at Kopar Memorial Arena.
