The 41st season Prince George Minor Football Association kicks off its season today at Masich Place Stadium.

The annual jamboree features PGMFA's fall tackle teams line up against opponents from Williams Lake, Quesnel and Vanderhoof.

First up today at 9 a.m. is an all Prince George clash in the atom division (ages seven to nine) between PG White and PG Purple.

That's followed by Williams Lake and Vanderhoof Vikings at 10:15 a.m. and the Quesnel Bombers against PG Red at 11:30 a.m.

In the peewee division (ages 10 to 11), another all Prince George battle features PG Red up against PG Purple at 12:45 p.m.

Vanderhoof Vikings clash with PG Red at 2 p.m. and PG Purple at 3:15 p.m.

The junior bantam (ages 12 to 13) game at 4:30 p.m. between Prince George and Vanderhoof wraps up the day.

Those who are still interested in registering to play with a PGMFA squad can do so today. Registration inlcudes all of a player's equipment for free, with the exception of cleats.

ATVS ALL IN

The Prince George ATV club hosts its annual poker ride tomorrow (Sunday, Sept. 7).

Registration at the ATV clubhouse (12000 Scott Road, off of Buckhorn Road) is from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Hands are available for $5 each and must be turned in by 3:30 p.m. The draw will take place at 4 p.m.

First place wins $250; second place $150 and third place $100.

All proceeds go towards local trail improvements.
