The BX Pub Bandits were well on their way to victory over the Tabor Sports Pub/Regional Security Stylers Wednesday night, leading 14-6 with less than seven minutes left in the third period, when the Coliseum roof sprung a leak. A heavy thundershower found a seam through the rafters, leaving a pool of water in front of the visitors' players bench. With most of the game already completed, the game was called and the first-place Bandits had their eighth win of the season.

"The skies opened up and so did the ceiling and we must have had a four-foot puddle on the floor," said PGSLA commissioner Glen 'Moose' Scott. "For safety concerns we canceled the rest of the game and it went into the books as a 14-6 victory for the BX Bandits."

Tyler Halliday, the former Prince George Cougar forward, led the way for the Bandits with three goals and two assists. The loss left the youthful Stylers (0-9) still looking for their first win of the season.

The Bandits began the day Thursday leading the PGSLA with an 8-2 record, four points ahead of the second-place Shooters Pub Devils (6-2), who played the College Heights Pub Assault (4-5) in a game at the Coliseum Thursday night. Led by Scott Anderson's seven-goal, one-assist effort, the Devils beat the Assault 13-9 to move to within two points of the Bandits.

The Devils will travel to Quesnel to face the Stylers in a league game Saturday night.
