The 25-year-old Inner City Boxing Club member lost his opening-round bout in the second round Tuesday to Bradley Wilcox of Hamilton, Ont., in the elite men's 60-kilogram division.

Seehra was a three-time medalist at the national level. In 2009 he won bronze in Troix Rivieres, Que., was a silver medalist in 2010 in Quebec City and also won bronze in 2012 in Cape Breton, N.S.

Wilcox advances to the semifinal round against the winner of Tuesday's match between Nathan Royes of North Vancouver and Radolfo Valasquez of Hamilton.

The other semifinal will pit Lucas Bahdi of Niagara Falls, Ont., against either Brandon Leaman of Newfoundland and Kaemy Savoie of Quebec, who met in a quarterfinal match Tuesday. Bahdi, the defending 60 kg national champion, drew a bye.
