The visiting Alberni Valley Bulldogs went to their dressing room in the first intermission only down by one goal with the Prince George Spurce Kings holding a 2-1 lead but a second period six-goal offensive burst gave the Spruce Kings all they needed to take the victory Friday at Rolling Mix Concrete Arena.

The Bulldogs were the only ones to put one in the net during the third period but it was not enough as the Kings posted an 8-2 B.C. Hockey League win.

Nicholas Poisson and Brendan Hill each had two-goal games. Corey Cunningham and Finlay Williams, both on power plays, and newly-acquired Mason Waite, at even strength, each potted a goal for the Spruce Kings. Thomas Richter also scored his first BCHL goal for the Kings.

Ryan Doolin and Jacob Bosse were the goal scorers for the Bulldogs.

Jett Alexander made 26 saves in net for the KIngs to even his BCHL records to 3-3-0-0. Jackson Glassford played the first two periods for Alberni Valley, stoppind 17 of 25 shots. Luke Pearson replaced him for the third period and blocked all four shots he faced.

The Kings (3-3-2-0, second in Mainland Division) will take on the Trail Smoke Eaters (2-5-1-0), fifth in Interior Division tonight at 7 p.m. at Rolling Mix Concrete Arena.
