Runners and fundraising enthusiasts are invited to get their glow on during the second annual Snowdaze eight-kilometre (five mile) night run Saturday, Feb. 4.
The GOGO Girls trail running club is putting on the run, starting at the Westwood Pub looping through the field behind the Speed Skating Ice Oval and back again. The run starts at 7 p.m.
All registered participants will receive a swag bag with a glow stick and there are prizes for the top male and female runners and for the most glowing runner.
In 2011 the GOGO Girls broke even after donating $25 to KidSport B.C.-Prince George division. Cindy Hartford, race director, said they'll looking to surpass the 18 runners that took part last year while raising more of KidSport and their club.
"This year I'm hoping to do way more," said Hartford.
After the run there's an after-party at the Pub with Prince George band Revolution providing the entertainment. It's $7 to get into the after-party.
Registration for the run is done through Stride and Glide Sports, either in person or by printing out a form online and dropping it off. It's $12 for one entry and $20 for two.
