Alex Forsberg broke a final-frame rally by the Prince Albert Raiders as the Prince George Cougars started their seven-game road trip Tuesday night with a 6-3 win.

Down 4-2 early in the third period, the Raiders brought the game to within one after Justin Maylan beat Cougar goalkeeper Drew Owsley. Forsberg stopped the Raiders' surge three minutes later on a goal that drew assists from Chase Witala and Jordan Tkatch.

Caleb Belter added an empty-net marker.

The Cougars outshot the Raiders 44 to 36 and enjoyed a shorthanded and powerplay goal.

The Cats face off against the Saskatoon Blades tonight at 6:05.

The Cougars will be back in P.G. on Oct. 21 to battle the Tri-City Americans in a two-game series.
