Quebec fills up short track podium

In a familiar scenario at these Canada Winter Games, Quebec skaters ruled the short track on Thursday. When medals were presented at Lakewood Dental Arena for the 1,000-metre distance, all six of them went to athletes from Quebec.

When medals were presented at Lakewood Dental Arena for the 1,000-metre distance, all six of them went to athletes from Quebec.

In the men's division, Marc-Olivier Lemay was the gold-medalist, while silver and bronze went to Simon Godin and Gabriel Maille respectively. In women's competition, Beatrice Lamarche claimed gold, with teammates Rosalie Tremblay and Catherine Desjardins taking silver and bronze.

Short track speed skating wraps up today with the 3,000m male and female relays, as well as the 3,000m male and female points races.
