Prince George Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony tickets on sale Monday

Tickets for the Prince George Sports Hall of Fame class of 2024 induction ceremony go on sale on Monday.

The banquet, to be held at the Ramada Plaza at 444 George St., starts at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, April 6.

The event will add five new inductees – baseball player Amanda Asay, boxer Kenny Lally, curling coach Joe Rea, biathlete Megan Tandy and hockey/baseball builder Edna Stitt.

That will bring the list of inductees to 83.

The hall of fame committee has also selected 14 young athletes for its Rising Star Awards.

That list includes Jenna Hamel, Noah Lank, Lily McCullough, Nico Myatovic, Fischer O’Brien, Lily Palmer, Adam Sieben, Rowan Teegee-Zatorski, Troy Todoruk, Aliah Turner, Emma Watson, Colby Winther Konig, Reese Wiseman and Chris Zimmerman.

Tickets are $68 each (including taxes) and will include a dinner, a guest speaker, the award ceremonies and a silent auction.

Tickets are available at Northern Food Equipment at 814 Fifth Ave., open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The deadline for ticket purchases is Friday, March 22 at 3:30 p.m.
