The Prince George Cougars lost to the Tri-City Americans Friday night 6-4 at CN Centre.

Tri City’s Tyson Greenway started the game with two goals in the first period, followed by his team mate Parker Bell.

Caden Brown had the first goal for the Cougars during the second period, followed by team mate Hudson Thorton and another by Brown.

During the third period Jake Sloan scored for the Americans and right behind him was Deagan McMillan while Cougars responded with a goal from Zac Funk.

The final empty netter was scored against the Cougars by Jalen Luypen.

Goalie for Tri City Americans was Tomas Suchanek and Prince George Cougars goalie was Tyler Brennan.

Stars of the game included Tri City’s Tyson Greenway, cougars Caden Brown and Deagen McMillan.

Game 2 in the best-of-seven series goes tonight at 7 p.m. at CN Centre.
