The Prince George Cougars and the Vancouver Giants gave the audience watching their national televised game on TSN full value Friday night, with the Cougars winning 5-4 in overtime in Langley.

Chase Wheatcroft led the way offensively for Prince George with three points, including the overtime winner. Viliam Kmec, Cole Dubinsky and Ondrej Becher also scored in the win, the team’s third in a row.

Cougars goalie Tyler Brennan continued his hot play, recording his ninth win in his last 10 starts.

The Cougars play the Royals tonight in Victoria. A win or an overtime loss would give Prince George the one point needed to clinch a playoff spot.
