The Prince George Construction Association has become the latest local organization to be named an official supplier for the 2015 Canada Winter Games.
The PGCA is backing improvements to the outdoor ice oval as a legacy project.
"It is exciting for our Association to undertake this project and build a facility that will enhance the ability of the community to attract additional events to our city," said PGCA president Rosalind Thorn.
"Through generous donations of time, services and funding from member firms and friends of the Association, the Ice Oval Society will find numerous efficiencies in their ongoing maintenance of the oval.''
Construction began in early October and is scheduled for completion next month. The PGCA was named an official supplier on Friday.
