A total of 26 Prince George athletes will be headed to Halifax to compete in the North American Indigenous Games, taking place July 15 to July 23.
Sisters Tehya and Aiyana Carpenter will be competing with Team B.C.’s U14 and U16 girls basketball teams. Carter Simpson will represent B.C. on the boys U14 basketball team.
Aiden Heggelund, Joel Henry, Colby Jefferies, Kobe Fulton, Nate Budskin and Hunter Potskin will be up to bat for Team B.C. on the boy’s U19 softball team.
Aaliyah Thomas, Kali Doane and Aivrielle Caban are on Team B.C.’s U16 girls soccer team.
Brody Brook will hit the links to compete in golf. Mischa Krawczyk will play on the U16 girls beach volleyball team.
Dylan Ilett and Nicholas Krawczyk will be on the boys U19 lacrosse team for B.C.
Hailey Ilett, Maggie Malfair and Delaney Turner will look to serve up a victory for Team B.C.’s U16 volleyball team. Laina Ghostkeeper, Leah Parker and Taya McCarthy will represent B.C. on the girls U19 volleyball team, while Rowan Teegee-Zatorski and Dylan Buehler will represent the U19 boys in volleyball.
Jacob Littler and Hunter McCarthy will be wrestling for B.C.
