The Chemtrade Capitals are the hosts of a U18 Female hockey tournament on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. In day one action in Kin 1, the North East District Predators defeated the Capitals by a score of 5-1.
The four-team tourney features the host Capitals, North East District, North West District, and Williams Lake.
Games will resume on Saturday morning starting with the North East District taking on the North West District at 9:15 a.m. in Kin 1. The Capitals will then take on Williams Lake with puck drop scheduled for 11:30 a.m. at Elksentre. The final two games of the day will see the first seed take on the fourth seed at 3:30 p.m., and the second seed take on the third seed at 5:45 p.m. Both games are scheduled to take place at Elksentre.
The winners of games 7 and 8 will compete for the title on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. while the losers of games 7 and 8 will battle it out for 3rd and 4th place at 8:00 a.m. Both Sunday games are scheduled to take place at Elksentre.
