At the quad-A senior girls volleyball championship in Fort St. John last weekend the Prince George Secondary girls came up short of qualifying for the provincial tournament.
The Polars fell in the final 3-1 (22-25, 25-18, 22-25 and 23-25) to a determined North Peace squad playing on their home turf.
Erika Morris and Brooklynn Seemann were named to the first all-star team, while Shaunyce Gray and Harshika Sangha made the second team.
It's not the end of the road for the Polars as the girls have a last-chance opportunity to qualify for the provincial championship at a wild card tournament in Surrey on Saturday.
In the triple-A senior boys action in Fort St. John, it was the Kelly Road Roadrunners - ranked 10th in the province - falling in four sets to the sixth-ranked North Peace in the final.
