On the ice, the Prince George secondary Polars were hardly hospitable.

The Polars high school hockey team greeted visiting Brentwood, from Mill Bay, with a goal 63 seconds into the game, and PGSS poured it on late with the final three goals on Thursday to post a 9-4 victory.

The exhibition series continues today with Brentwood meeting Duchess Park at 7 a.m. at Kin 1, followed by a noon meeting with Kelly Road at the Elksentre.

In Thursday's game, Jari Erricson had three goals and Jordan Duncan had four points, including two goals. Tre Potskin, Dryden Profeit, Hayden-James Berra and Mike Jorgensen had the other PGSS goals. James Laing, Stephen Stewart, Brett Morrisson and Mike Frienin replied for Brentwood, which held a 2-1 lead in the first period after potting two goals in a 28-second span.
