The Prince George Pisces are making waves again.
Members of the local summer swim club have started their 2012 season. This year, the Pisces have 56 swimmers, ranging from six to 18 in age. Their first meet is May 26-27 at the Prince George Aquatic Centre. That competition will be one of five that Pisces athletes will attend. A regional championship will be held Aug. 4-5 in Quesnel and provincials are Aug. 17-19 in Nanaimo.
The Pisces development group (ages six to nine) still has openings for swimmers. They must be able to swim 25 metres on their fronts and backs. The development group is in the water Tuesdays, Thursday and Saturdays until June 30 and Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays in July. Parents are invited to contact Sherry at [email protected] for more information. The club's website is www.pgpisces.org.
The club's older swimmers practice Monday through Friday each week.
This year's head coach is Kyle Kronebusch.
