Jennifer Fewster and Patti Knezevic need to put together winning streaks to better position themselves for playoff berths at the B.C. Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

At the women's provincial curling championship, being played at the Cloverdale Curling Club, Fewster has a 2-2 record and Knezevic is 1-3 heading into today's action.

On Tuesday night, Fewster was on the ice against Karla Thompson of Kamloops and won 5-3. Knezevic faced one of the event favourites, Kelley Law of New Westminster, and fell 6-4.

Earlier Tuesday, Fewster lost 10-4 to Nicole Backe of Nanaimo after she gave up five points in the first two ends. Knezevic, meanwhile, was beaten 6-4 by Kristy Lewis of Richmond.

On Monday, Fewster started the 10-team tournament with a 6-4 setback to Rosalyn Craig of Duncan and then pounded Jill Winters of Nelson 10-2.

Also Monday, Knezevic dropped a 7-3 decision to defending champion Kelly Scott of Kelowna but then downed Backe 7-5.

Round-robin games will wrap up on Friday and only the top four rinks will advance to the Page playoffs. So far, Law and Craig are both 4-0.

Today, Fewster will meet Lewis at noon and New Westminster's Adina Tasaka at 7 p.m. Knezevic will face Thompson and Craig.
