Several members from the Prince George Gymnastics Club competed at the 2012 Surrey Classic and Carol Lenz Memorial Invitational from March 2 to 4, and delivered some exhilarating performances. The event served as trials for the Canadian Championship No. 2 and the Zone 3 P2 trials for the B.C. championship.
CPP 2 Tyro:
Mekenna Parker placed third on vault; 10th on uneven bars; 24th on beam and 19th on floor exercise and was 12th overall AA gymnast.
CPP 3 Novice:
Rihanna Palfy was 21st on vault; 26th on bars; 19th on beam and 14th on floor while finishing the AA competition in 20th.
CPP 3 Tyro:
Naraa Little finished an impressive sixth on the floor exercise. In her other events she was: 18th on vault; 16th on bars and 28th on beam. She placed 22nd as a AA gymnast.
CPP 4 Open:
Mary Kate Dalla Lana was seventh on vault; 11th on bars; eighth on beam; 10th on floor and was in 11th as a AA gymnast.
Shayna McCormick finished 14th on vault, bars, floor and overall AA, while she was 11th on beam.
CPP 5 Open:
Lina Goto took gold on beam and finished the AA fifth overall. On vault she was sixth, while placing eighth on bars and floor.
Milan Knight won bronze on floor and was eighth on vault and beam and 10th on bars and AA overall.
