Two wheelchair basketball players from Prince George are taking shots at Canadian titles this weekend.

Avril Harris is part of Team B.C. for the men's national championship tournament, while Elisha Williams is on the Team B.C. roster for the women's nationals. The events started Friday and will conclude Sunday in Longueuil, Que.

Together, Harris and Williams were the only northern B.C. players selected to the provincial squads.

Former P.G. resident Bo Hedges -- who now lives in Burnaby -- is also on the men's team, as is Erik Hagreen, who is originally from Prince George and now resides in Vancouver.

B.C. is the defending national champion in both divisions.
