Cole Paciejewski is living a Delta dream.

He found out last weekend he's destined to play lacrosse for the Delta Islanders.

The Islanders picked the 16-year-old Grade 11 D.P. Todd student in the fifth round of the B.C. Junior Lacrosse Association draft, 35th overall, the only Prince George player on the list of 94 players selected.

"PoCo (Port Coquitlam) actually called my first to say they were trying to pick me up in the draft but they didn't get me and Delta did," said Paciejewski.

"It means a lot. I was hoping I'd go pretty high so that felt good."
