Drew Owsley of the Prince George Cougars is the Western Hockey League's nomination for goaltender of the week in the Canadian Hockey League.
The 20-year-old goalie made 32 saves for the shutout as the Cougars opened their WHL season with a 1-0 win over the Blazers in Kamloops.
The WHL player of the week was Tri-City Americans forward Adam Hughesman after he produced seven points - a goal and six assists - while helping the Americans to a 2-0 record.
