Patti Knezevic's Team B.C. suffered through another winless day at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Moose Jaw.
In the Wednesday afternoon draw at the national women's curling championship, B.C. fell 8-7 in an extra end to New Brunswick, a squad skipped by Sylvie Robichaud. Earlier in the day, Knezevic and her Prince George Golf and Curling Club rink lost 7-5 to Northern Ontario's Tracy Horgan. Knezevic now has a 1-8 record and is tied for last place with Quebec, skipped by Lauren Mann.
Knezevic will play her final two games of the Scotties today, with a morning match against Newfoundland (3-6) and an evening contest against Nova Scotia (4-5). Newfoundland is skipped by Heather Strong, while Nova Scotia is led by Mary-Anne Arsenault.
Wednesday's extra-end setback to New Brunswick was a back-and-forth game all the way through. Knezevic picked up a single point in the 10th end to tie the score 7-7, but that gave Robichaud the hammer in the 11th and she took advantage by scoring the point she needed.
In the loss to Northern Ontario, Knezevic had a 5-4 lead after six ends but gave up a single point in the seventh and then allowed Horgan to steal singles in the eighth and ninth ends.
Knezevic's rinkmates are third Kristen Fewster, second Jen Rusnell and lead Rhonda Camozzi.
