Nachbaur joins U-18s

Hockey Canada has also selected Spokane Chiefs head coach and Prince George native Don Nachbaur to serve as an assistant coach Canada's men's summer under-18 team at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial tournament, Aug. 8-13 in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Hockey Canada has also selected Spokane Chiefs head coach and Prince George native Don Nachbaur to serve as an assistant coach Canada's men's summer under-18 team at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial tournament, Aug. 8-13 in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Nachbaur, 52, is head coach of the Spokane Chiefs of the WHL.

Steve Spott, head coach and general manager of the Kitchener Rangers (OHL) will be U-18s head coach, while Mario Duhamel of the Drummondville Voltigeurs (QMJHL) will be the other assistant. Canada has won the tournament the last three years, and six of the last eight.
