Minck back in the game, at TRU

After one year away from the game, Hanna Minck is back on the court. And, this time, she's playing at the highest level in Canada.

After one year away from the game, Hanna Minck is back on the court. And, this time, she's playing at the highest level in Canada.

Minck, a 20-year-old Prince George product, is a member of the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack women's volleyball team for the 2010-11 season. Minck is a power hitter for the Kamloops-based WolfPack, which competes in the Canada West conference of Canadian Interuniversity Sport.

Minck started her post-secondary career in 2008-09 with the Vancouver Island University Mariners, a team that was part of the B.C. Colleges Athletic Association. She took last season off, but did do some coaching here in Prince George.

She's thrilled about moving off the sidelines and back into the action.

"After taking that year off, I realized how much I missed it," Minck said. "Coming here to play, at a place I love, will make the experience that much better."
