The LJ Contracting Cougars will skate for bronze at the B.C. Hockey Midget Tier 2 provincial championship tournament.
The Cougars played a semifinal game Thursday morning at Kin 1 but lost 7-2 to the Aldergrove Bruins. In the second semifinal, the Vernon Vipers defeated the Williams Lake Timberwolves 3-1.
With those results, the Cougars will face regional rival Williams Lake in the bronze-medal game at 5 p.m. Later, at 8 p.m., Aldergrove and Vernon will battle for gold.
Both medal games will also be played at Kin 1.
In the Cariboo Amateur Hockey Association playoff final earlier this season, the Cougars beat the Timberwolves two games to one in a best-of-three series. Prince George lost the first game 6-5 but won the next two by scores of 8-2 and 7-2.
