Along the path to the podium at the Olympics, Maelle Ricker and Mike Robertson made a significant stop-off at Powder King.
The two Canadian snowboard cross racers were part of a national team training camp that took place at the ski facility north of Mackenzie, a November session that brought a financial bonus to the region and helped the athletes increase this country's medal haul in Vancouver.
